About the book

Do you know the song "The Wheels on the Bus?"  Well transpose that tune to the words in the book...

"The children at the playground
Run, run, run
Run, run, run
Run, run, run
The children at the playground
run, run, run while they play."

This fun book will have active kids using their imaginations to be part of the fun that's happening at the playground too.  The adorable characters, whoosh, hop, teeter-totter, climb, slide, rock, munch and slurp their picnic, just to name a few.

Their energy and smiles will bring happiness to those sharing the story together.  The book encourages kids to get outside and play with friends transferring their pent up vigour for active movement in creative and healthy ways.

The book is a personal invitation to come out and play at the playground... the fun and happiness is contagious.

About the author

Tracey M. Cox has been telling stories since she could babble. Her love of stories turned into a career in 2000 when she decided to pursue writing professionally. She hasn’t looked back. Since that day, she has been published in newspapers, magazines, an anthology, and ultimately seen her name on the covers of books. Tracey believes in never growing up and writes for children.

She is a PAL member in the Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators (SCBWI). In SCBWI, she is active in the Southern Breeze Region where she volunteers as Local Liaison for South Georgia and is the chapter’s Webmaster and PR Coordinator. She is also a KidLit TV team member and a founding member of the South Georgia Writer’s Guild. To help promote literacy in her local area, Tracey founded, and still directs, the Books Love & Taters Book Festival, which is held in Ocilla, Georgia on the last Saturday in October during the Georgia Sweet Potato Festival.

Tracey is available for school visits, book signings, and guest speaking.
