I have had the privilege of reviewing this gifted author's last four books and am excited to share his latest one for you to day. All his books touch your heart and are a delight to read.
A young boy named Eddie constantly battles fear that rises up in his heart at three different milestones in his life. The fear of the unknown looms heavily on him causing copious tears to cascade down because he is totally overwhelmed at the aspect of saying goodbye and being separated from his loved ones. It starts when he is as a small boy and his parents are leaving him for a short time. He is distraught at them leaving and totally has a meltdown at the very thought.
His extremely wise mother dispenses comfort and peace to Eddie through a rhyme that her dad told her when she was a little girl his age. She has kept it in her own heart all these years to help herself and now it's time to share it with her anxious sweet son.

By tomorrow you’ll see us again with a smile, and what you thought was forever will have been a short while. So as sure as the sun shares its home with the moon, it's not goodbye, it’s see you soon.”
"And she was right. The very next day Eddie's parents came back home and gave him a BIG hug, and everything was okay. "
Eddie grows up and again fear enters into him as he leaves for school and then when he gets very sad news that someone has departed from his life forever... they have passed away. Each time the rhyme his mother spoke to him surfaces in his heart and as he repeats a variation of it he is once again filled with courage and hope. It is like a refrain or chorus to a song that when he repeats it it soothes his inner fear and gives him tranquillity.
The story is written to give calm and hope to children and adults alike. It is a catalyst for people to be able to open up and discuss their loss and goodbyes that come in many different forms as we journey through life. It is the author's hope that the book will make those departures easier as they occur. The book is a gentle reminder that when separations happen ( and they surely will ) that it's not goodbye but it's see you soon. There is great comfort and peace for your heart in those words. The book deals with a very difficult subject in an uplifting and positive way. I highly, highly recommend this book. Coming soon.....

Meet the author
For as far back as I can remember, I've always been different, a little awkward, shy and anxious. It's just who I've always been and, for the longest time, I thought I was alone in feeling like a square peg that just didn't fit in anywhere. As I grew up though, I began to realize that many other children (and adults) felt that same way and all I wanted to do was tell them all that they were special, wonderfully made and priceless: this is why I started writing books.
Picture books, to me, are an absolutely fantastic method of communicating deep stories and multi-leveled morals to readers of all ages. Each of my stories tells a tale that can be read as something simple or silly by young eyes but can also be read much deeper by older readers. King Boogie is about the struggles and adventures of parenthood, The Letter is about self worth and the wisdom that can be offered from people of all ages, Rahley the Silent Slug is about the fear of stepping out, The Rock that Rolled Across the Ocean is about finding purpose as trials refine us and, lastly, It's Not Goodbye, It's See You Soon discusses the fear of saying goodbye. Each story I write is designed to be fun, easily understood and uplifting to readers of all ages. I hope you see that as you read my books and, most importantly, I hope you know how awesome you are!
