Soon all the snow will disappear and we will be seeing tiny shoots of green sprouting on our lawns and in our gardens. It is a time to look around and see the utter chaos caused by litter and garbage in our neighbourhoods. It is an excellent time to beginning thinking "green" for the next few months and forever. We need to be sharing these values - the values of keeping out yards, communities, and world clean and attended to with our future generations. A child is never too young to join in on the war against this huge problem that our world is facing. Below are listed some books that can help you share that information with your child. At bedtime cozy up with one of these books and let the dialogue begin. Their future depends on our actions NOW!

*Where does the Garbage Go? - Paul Showers
* 50 Simple Things that Kids can do to save the Earth
