About the book...
This enjoyable book is a perfect bedtime story. All curled up together under the bed covers, it is perfect as a read aloud or for a beginner reader. It is appropriate for ages 4-8. ( It is a Top of The Wardrobe Gang Diaries Book 1).
The week is busy as the Top of the Wardrobe Gang prepare for a visit to a pool, of all places. Oh my. Can fuzzy stuffed toys really prepare for such a thing? Well they all seem to get onboard with the vision and are super excited about the new adventure that awaits them. Each receive their own bathing suit and are continually clucking and chattering away while totally neglecting their daily duties and responsibilities. It's all about the pool people!
Oscar Rabbit does not share their vision or enthusiasm as he is positive they are asking for BIG trouble. After all won't they all get soggy and heavy in the water and just sink to the bottom .... helpless?

Ignoring the Negative Nancy attitude of Oscar Rabbit the toys all take the plunge.....and can you guess what happens next? Oh my! Was Oscar Rabbit right? Did this highly anticipated excursion turn into a disaster? You will have to read to see, no spoilers here.
Kid's will love the antics of the adorable gang and will readily concur with that sense of anticipation and wonder that only a brand new escapade (and dare I add...risky venture) can bring to them. The book invites you along to the pool party with the gang. The book is written in diary form and may encourage your child to start a diary of her/his own. I am sure both young and old will love the storyline and the illustrations are full of action, expression and very well done. I look forward to the next book in the series.
