Oh nooooooooo!!!!
About the book...
This modern Swedish classic is now translated into English for us to enjoy. This book has a strong narrative and soft, classic illustrations for both young and old to delight in. This would be a perfect book for sons, fathers, or grandfathers as it celebrates the special bond between males. Ulf Stark is noted for his incredible sense of humour and this book will not disappoint.
A little boy is taken by his father to ogle the majesty of the universe one star-studded night. The father prepares for the journey by making sure both he and his son are bundled up nice and warm, that provisions are purchased and tucked safely inside his pocket and that the trek is safe and memorable. All seems to be going to plan and then a hilarious twist brings the father back down to reality. He receives a lesson that gets his head out of the clouds and makes him realize that the most important things are right back on earth, right under your nose!
The ending will have you in stitches, guaranteed. As you sit and reflect on the book you will understand the author's message to his readers: "Sometimes the journey is more important than the destination, and sometimes the biggest lessons happen when you lease expect them." I highly recommend this book... it deserves a Storywrap hug!
