About the book...
This sing-songy (is that even a word?) book is perfect for little ones to enjoy. It documents a perfect day together at the beach and the words are sung to the tune of the old favourite song, "The Farmer in the Dell."
An adorable little boy and girl spend their day: picking up shells, dragging seaweed, building a castle with a moat, chasing seagulls, riding waves, catching fish and racing the tide, just to name a few. They are happy and carefree all day long relaxing in the sun, interacting with beach life and they end up culminating their busy day by slowing down to watch a beautiful sun sink into the vast ocean before them.
The bright coloured illustrations are detailed and full of activity. The whole vibe of the book oozes a celebration of a perfect getaway at the beach. Toddlers and preschoolers will love the repetition and rhyme that the story unfolds. A lovely book to share with your wee-one.
Storywrap Rating.... 4 HUGS!!!!

About the illustrator...
Adam Pryce is an illustrator and designer based in Manchester, UK. He grew up in the Shropshire countryside and always loved to draw; for Christmases and birthdays the only gifts he would ask for were sketchbooks and pencils. His artwork is fun, colourful and energetic, using traditional and modern design techniques. His favourite things to draw are animals – he loves filling up his sketchbooks whilst visiting museums, zoos and faraway cities. In the future, he would like to own a Pomeranian. He would call it Lucifer.
