"Hi. My name is Dookie, and I'm a dung beetle. Do you know what a dung beetle is? Well dung is poop. So I guess you could call me a poop beetle. I don't mind.
Dung beetles are famous for rolling big balls of poop! We love anything to do with poop."
Before you find out about my book ( which I'm the star) I found some dung beetle jokes to make you smile. They are not related to my book but hey... when poop is your thing you gotta think outside the box... the litter box! Ha Ha!

Unwrapping the story
Who thought that poop could be so life-sustaining and entertaining? Kids love talking about pee and poop and other body functions and this book will make them giggle guaranteed. The book is full of clever wordplays all centred on the word poop.
Dookie, a young dung beetle, eats poop, drinks poop, and was born in poop. We discover that his pregnant mom is about to lay some eggs and needs a poopball like..... now! She calls on her son to go fetch her an elephant poopball and he scurries off to grant her wish.
He gets distracted by his friend Turdy who offers to help him roll the pooball back home. Turdy is tempted to take just one little nibble of the delectable treat and Dookie follows suit. Guess what? The two little scallywags devour the entire thing!!! Oh my, whatever will his mom do now?
Mom cannot believe it when Dookie comes home all covered in poo and empty handed. She needed him to help for her!
" Boy, was I in trouble when I got home. "What do you mean, you ate it? How do you eat a whole elephant pooball?'
"Im sorry, Mom. I was hungry. I'll just go get more."
"Dookie, there' s no poop left. Go to the Night Dung Market."
Oh boy, it's quite a scary trek to get to the night market unaccompanied by an adult but luckily Dookie arrives there safe and unscathed. Will he succeed in his mission and get home in time for his mom's deliveries?
The illustrations are colourful, full of emotion and enrich the text greatly. Kids will love the poop theme... talking, eating, drinking, and even bathing in it will be hilarious to them. There are other books in the series also to check out. FYI the author's all-time- favourite is "Fake Poop." Have to take a break now and grab a coffee.... I'm pooped!
