My Take

Kids love rhyming and interaction and this book has both to offer.  Who doesn't like to give High Fives to greet, affirm, and praise a job well-done.  Kids will have such fun putting High-Fives into action with those around them.  Readers will experience "first-hand" a series of challenges that will have them giggling I'm sure.  The pièce de résistance? ... the reader gets a trophy in the end!  How fun is that?  The book stars YOU and YOU get to join in the celebration of High-Fiving with finesse and ne plus ultra.  Adam Rubin and Daniel Salmieri have created a book that deserves some hand clapping praise.  👏👏👏👏👏. Great job!

Meet the author

Adam Rubin is the New York Times best-selling author of a half dozen critically acclaimed picture books, including Dragons Love Tacos, Dragons Love Tacos 2: The Sequel, Secret Pizza Party, and Robo-Sauce. He spent ten years working as a creative director in the advertising industry before leaving his day job to write full-time. Adam has a keen interest in improv comedy, camping, and magic tricks.

About the illustrator

Daniel Salmieri is an award-winning illustrator from Brooklyn, NY. He has illustrated 12 picture books, including three New York Times best-sellers (Dragons Love Tacos, Robo-Sauce and Dragons Love Tacos 2: The Sequel), and he regularly creates illustrations for magazines and newspapers. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife Sophia and their dog Ronni. His favorite things to draw are cars, plants, dogs and people.
