The Book

I love this book.  The illustrations are gorgeous with a retro flair and the magical Christmas message will be well received by kids of all ages.

A little red sleigh has a BIG dream.  She wants with all her heart to become Santa's BIG red sleigh and fly through the skies with him while he delivers all of his presents on Christmas Eve.

Other toys in the toyshop try to discourage her telling her she's too small, too young, unable to fly and that she will never ever be able to meet up with Santa.  Despite all their naysaying and negativity  little red sleigh sets her sights on her goal and is intent to at least try to fulfill her dream. Out the door she goes determined to do all that she can possibly do to make it happen.

Her journey is difficult and treacherous but she never gives up.  With the help of some kind friends she meets along the way little red sleigh finally discovers her true destiny and yes, Santa notices all her efforts to bring joy and happiness to those around her and miraculously he  graciously rewards her.

The illustrations are gorgeous and could stand on their own in a wordless picture book.  They enrich the power of the text and the message of following your dream wherever it takes you.  This heartwarming Christmas tale would be a great gift to give or to add to your own seasonal collection.   I highly recommend this book.
