Meet the Author
Linsey Davis is an Emmy Award winning ABC News Correspondent, filing reports for World News, Good Morning America, 20/20 and Nightline. She has covered major news stories around the globe, and is excited to share her latest story, THE WORLD IS AWAKE with the world.
For Davis her three-year-old son served as her inspiration, and Psalm 118:24 is the blueprint of the book: "This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it."
"Almost daily he takes my hand and he leads me into the world around him with fresh eyes, and it serves as a subtle reminder of all the reasons to rejoice and anticipate each new day. In addition to her role at ABC, she is a Christian, wife, mother and author. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc and the National Association of Black Journalists.
About the Illustrator
Lucy Fleming has been an avid doodler and book-worm since early childhood. She never quite grew out of having her head up in the clouds, daydreaming.
She now lives and works in a small town in England. When not at her desk she prefers nothing more than to be outdoors in the sunshine with a hot cup of tea and her little cat playing close by.
Lucy is a freelance illustrator specialising in children's literature.
She is represented the the Bright Agency. Clients include publishers
such as Bloomsbury, Simon & Schuster, Stripes Publishing,
Quarto Group, Harper Collins US and more.
