“The titular tree’s biography is the platform for teaching young children little gems of current science about tree behavior and the recently coined wood wide web. . . A sweet introduction for blossoming naturalists.” ― Kirkus

The Book
Little Sap wants with all her heart to grow big and tall and strong just like her mother. She wants to tower way up to the sky! Luckily she is surrounded by a supportive family circle and many forest friends who will love and guide her to do just that.
Little Sap is impatient and must be reminded often that the growing process takes time but will be well worth the wait. The illustrations are beautiful and brimming with details that kids will enjoy looking at again and again. After the story the author provides further information about how trees and the environment are symbiotic best friends. The book will initiate many conversations and peek the curiosity of kids who desire to learn more about the natural world around them. This book would be a wonderful addition to a classroom and/or especially the school library. I highly recommend this book.
