Reading tip for the day

Want to have a fun surprise ready for your kids when they come home from school? Why don't you try to make up some word cards (flash cards) of words that they are familiar with and post them all around your house. You can post some words that may include your dinner menu, some fun activity that you might be cooking up for after dinner, a sign that says homework, anything that is relevant to your child;s life at this time. When he/she comes home take a "word tour" and read all the words that you stuck up around your home together. Reading can be fun and exciting!
