"Superhero" - a musicwrap

THE LAURIE BERKNER BAND PLAYS

"SUPERHERO"

FIRST ALBUM OF BRAND-NEW SONGS IN 8 YEARS

Unwrapping...

Unwrapping the buzz...

"The queen of children's music." - People Magazine

"The Adele of the preschool crowd." - The New York Times

"In the world of children's music, Laurie Berkner isn't just popular, she's an icon. Her earworm tunes have taken her from The Today Show to the Whitehouse. " - The Denver Post

What's it all about...

This fantastic album was released September 23rd.  It was eight years coming but so worth the wait.  The Laurie Berkner Band, authentic superstars of kids' music, has released another winner.  It is jam-packed full of all-new songs that kids and adults will love!  Recommended for kids ages 1-7.  There are 21 originals, composed by Laurie Berkner, plus two "bonus" tracks to tickle your ears.  The music range is phenomenal, from quiet, a cappella fingersplays to get-up-and-dance full band anthems.  It doesn't get any better than this.

You can enjoy a spectrum of musical styles, including 60s pop, rootsy rock, lullabies, reggae, Latin and more.  The songs speak to kids in a non-condescending way, through imaginative lyrics that both enchant and empower. It is brimming with contemporary edge and energy.

In her own words...

"I wrote Superhero thinking about many things that I found fun as a kid and I'm so thrilled to have wonderful guests to share that fun"

"To me Superhero is about self-empowerment - being our best selves and discovering the superhero in all of us."
