About the book

This anti-bullying book is written with heart because the author was a victim of extreme bullying herself growing up.   She recounts how she was taunted and made fun of by others around her. She came home from school every day in tears, cloistered herself in her room, and soothed her heartache by playing her guitar and immersing herself in her music.

Unbeknownst to her at her tender age, her music became her therapy and her miraculous pathway to a very successful career as a talented and popular country music performer.

Jessie's favourite quote is "dreams come a size too big so we can grow into them"  meaning it takes continued hard work and passion for dreams to be realized. She persevered and never gave up her dream of becoming an accomplished singer and songwriter and it paid off.  Her dreams became a reality.

In her room by herself, with only her guitar and her music, she gained back her self- confidence and self-worth.  She was discovered on Facebook by Jeff Gulko and she discovered then that she was ready to step onto a big stage and share both her songs and her experiences of being bullied with a large audience.  Jessie's story is inspirational to kids and to adults alike.  It is a book of love and a bearer of hope. I highly recommend this book. (and her music).
