Unwrapping Some Wonderful Illustrations for You

Unwrapping the Story

Amelia is feeling overwhelmed with her daily schedule.  She feels stress and pressure as she has softball practice to attend, tons of homework to complete, chores to tick off her to-do list and to top it all off she was not invited to her classmate, Samantha's, birthday party on Friday.  How can she cope with all the negative thoughts and stress that she is feeling?  To make matters even worse her mother sniffs her head and diagnoses her with "Stinking Thinking."  Oh my what is that and what is she to do?

She discovers that she not alone with this malady and bumps into some of her friends who are suffering from the same thing.  With help from her beloved mom and her teacher Mrs. Haynes she tries techniques for stress relief that really do work and make her feel less anxious and worried.

This book is a wonderful guide (and education) connecting kids with their feelings.  It explains how they can control these negative thoughts and turn them into positive ones causing kids to live a happier, less-stressed life.  "The Book Without Limits" series celebrates kids who demonstrate good character.  The author has wisely included valuable Tips for Parents and Educators that will help kids manage their stress and who knows?.... maybe adult stress too.

The illustrations are simply wonderful.  They are full of emotion and heart and enrich the author's positive message.  I highly recommend this book.

Introducing the author

Hello. My name is Bryan Smith. I was born and raised in Texas. I have been in elementary education for the past 18 years. The last 13 years have been spent as an elementary school counselor. During this time, I have seen many behaviors from children I wanted to see changed. Examples include changing yourself to fit in, children controlling their impulses, and bad sportsmanship. I decided to write books address these issues in a humorous way. I am so grateful to get to work with children every day. I have been married for 17 years and have two wonderful boys. I spend much of my time coaching their sports! I hope you enjoy my books and thank you for your support.
