The Book

The kids all love elephant and want him to join them in a game of hide-and-seek.  Elephant reluctantly accepts their offer because he loves the kids and can't bear to disappoint them even though he knows he can't find a decent hiding spot when your the size of?... an elephant!!!!

He is found again and again by his kid friends as he struggles to find the perfect hiding spot.  It seems hopeless to do so.  Whatever shall he do?  He starts reading a copy of "The Guide to Hide-and-Seek" to discover hiding spaces that will let him succeed in becoming invisible to the kids that are hunting him down and then happily shouting at at the top of their lungs..."FOUND YOU!"  He's embarrassed although it's not his fault at all.

The book instructs him to blend in and disguise himself as a piece of furniture, an elephant-sized bed, to seek out large bathtubs and cloister himself under piles of laundry, just to name a few.  He's to think camouflage.  Maybe he should just volunteer to be "it" and not hide at all, that may solve the problem.

This fun, silly story will have kids giggling and I'm sure they will fall in love with the sweet, big-hearted elephant who adores kids and will do anything he can to spend quality time with them and make them happy. The illustrations are very well done.  Each character is adorable, animated and expressive.  I highly recommend this book.
