Editorial Review
"Two raccoons, one big and one little, go on a walk together, both enjoying different paces of travel. When a disagreement causes them to part ways, they both learn to see that their differences weren't something to be annoyed with; they were something that made the journey that much better. A lovely book showing how our differences not only make life better but help us in unexpected ways, "Big and Little" is a beautifully illustrated story that shows we don't all need to want the same thing, and that compromise can make our time with other people that much better." - Once Upon a Book Club

The Book
Two sweet raccoons are off to enjoy a picnic. Along their journey they encounter a snail... a slow... moving... snail trying to climb over a mountain and get to the other side. Little raccoon, who has lots of patience, wants to wait until the little guy is over but impatient Big raccoon wants to get going and doesn't want to waste his time waiting and watching. A big disagreement ensures separating the two best friends. After the smoke clears both reconcile, and hurray, their friendship bond is even stronger than before.
This gentle heartfelt book is about when to reach out to help others and when to let them accomplish things on their own. Both young and old can profit from the wonderful caring message of this book. The illustrations are adorable and full of expression which greatly enrich the text. I recommend this book.
