The Book

This book is an ode to a Mommy!   Adorable animal Mommies interact with their wee ones by playing games, harvesting in the garden, enjoying activities in the snow, and teaching their youngsters letters, numbers, writing and spelling, just to name a few.  The precious refrain throughout the book is sure to resonate in hearts long after the book is shared and is tucked away on a shelf:  "I'm glad God gave me Mommy."

With sweet illustrations that greatly enrich the text this rhyming board book highlights that each Mommy is a priceless gift from God.

Preschoolers will love to reminisce and recount how special their own mommy is to them.  Each day and every occasion is the perfect time to celebrate the magic and wonderment of having Mommy in your life to guide and love you unconditionally.  I highly recommend this book!

Meet the Author

Pamela Kennedy grew up in the Pacific Northwest, graduated from the University of Washington, then launched out with her Navy husband to visit a variety of home ports in the U.S. Writing was a portable career that traveled well and allowed her to hang around the house with her growing family. After leaving the Navy, the family put down roots in Honolulu, Hawaii for several years where Pam enjoyed teaching at a girls' school. Recently retired, both she and her husband have returned to Seattle to be closer to their adult children and their families. When she's not playing with her grandchildren, Pam continues to write essays and hymn stories for IDEALS Magazine as well as inspirational and devotional books for children and adults. She has also collaborated with her daughter, Anne Kennedy Brady, on several children's books. Together, they created the Otter B series for Focus on the Family/Tyndale Publishing. About the Illustrator

Angela started drawing animals at the age of four and has never stopped.  She grew up in the bush of Alaska, there were few roads so the family car was a tiny propeller bush plane.  She graduated from California Institute of the Arts and landed her first job with Disney Animation as a layout artist.  She spent her early career working as an artist in children's entertainment television.  Angela fell in love with children's book illustration when she was asked to illustrate her first picture book.  She now lives on a ranch just minutes from Los Angeles, with her husband and pets.
