The Book

What a fun book!  Alex, an adorable little Crow, is an artist extraordinaire according to his friends.  They think his artwork is so superior that it belongs in a museum.  They believe he is destined for greatness but how can they get his work into that local museum? Hmmmmm?

The four friends create a plan to make Alex's dream come true.  But will their plan actually work?

Debut author-illustrator Susan Bednarski paints traditional watercolour illustrations that are beautiful.  The book is a celebration of the joy of art. Readers will be able to spot famous artworks and landmarks as they progress through the story.

Alex's friends never give up on him.  Using teamwork and their problem solving skills they succeed in proving to others that their friend Alex has great talent worthy of showcasing for the whole world to see and appreciate!

The book lends itself for a wonderful read aloud and inspires young readers that if you put your mind to something... anything can be possible.  I love the book and highly recommend it.

Meet the Author/Illustrator

If you ask author-illustrator Susan Bednarski about some of her favorite things, NYC and museums top the list. And pigeons are the best. Birds. Ever! Just like those silly pigeons, she is happiest in little nooks of the city...with a sketchbook, a coffee, and some chocolate.
