Today's book is about love. Love in its purest form. As the Beatles sang.... "All you need is love!" So very, very true.

About the book...
She tenderly cares for her new foundling. Together they have playtime encounters and make fond memories. Finally (and sadly) after much caring and much love between the two the girl takes it back to the park and releases it into its natural environment once again. She understands that if you love something you must do what is best for it and for her lovely little duckling .... she must let it go.
This is a perfect story to read and share with your little one as Valentine's Day is just around the corner, but the theme works perfectly the whole year-round. Unconditional love reigns, always, and the story will warm and melt your heart guaranteed!
Diane Adams has three books out with Peachtree Publishers; Zoom!, I Can Do It Myself, and I Want To Help. She illustrated a book for The National Wildlife Refuge, entitled A Home for Salty, and her latest book, Two Hands to Love You, with Chronicle Books. is in stores now. She teaches college English and Humanities in Southern California. Her website is www.dianeadams.net.
The illustrations are truly wonderful. Claire Keane has worked for Disney, designing Tangled and Frozen, and now she illustrates books! Lucky us!
Written in rhyme the author explains to a child just what love is. An adorable little girl learns about love first hand by caring for a baby duckling that has escaped from the park.
"Love is holding something fragile,
tiny wings and downy head.
Love is noisy midnight feedings,
Show box right beside the bed."

About the illustrator...
I COME FROM A FAMILY OF ARTISTS WHERE FAMILY GATHERINGS OFTEN INVOLVE SKETCHBOOKS.
My dad is an animator, my granddad was a cartoonist and apparently my great granddad drew machine parts for steam engines. My uncle is a cartoonist, my brother draws and animates… so does my cousin. My 6 year old daughter says her favorite thing is drawing and judging from my 3 year old son’s enthusiasm for marking up our walls, I imagine I’ll be hearing that from him soon too.
I studied graphic design at L'Ecole SupΓ©rieure D'Arts Graphiques in Paris, France where I met my husband Vincent. Together we moved back to LA where I worked at Disney Feature Animation for 10 years designing for Tangled, Frozen and Enchanted among other films. In 2013, I left to work independently, telling my own stories through words and pictures. My first children's book Once Upon A Cloud came out in 2015 and my second book, Little Big Girl will be coming out fall 2016. We live in Venice Beach, California with our two kids, Matisse and Roman.
