About the book
This charming book is about a loving family. Daddy works all through the night being a conductor on a train. He can't wait to get home to his sweet family and spend some morning time ( and his evening time) with them.
Daddy works out of London and he knows that his dear ones are safely nestled in a seaside cottage along the sands of Sennan Cove. He works hard during his midnight shift, serving the passengers aboard the train making sure they are comfortable and all their needs are met. With the help of Mummy and Gran, Harry and his little brother do their nightly rituals to prepare for their bedtime. Thus two parallel stories are spun side-by-side one in the daylight and one in the dark of night.
After the family has a good night's sleep the door magically opens and a happy Daddy enters the room. He sweeps Harry up into his arms and they both reunite with joyful glee. Home is where the heart is indeed!
This is a perfect book to share at bedtime or at breakfast. I am sure there are a lots of families who share the same time challenges as this one as not all Daddies have a 9-5 job. The illustrations are full of action, emotion and heart. I really liked the book and recommend it for you to check out.
