Don't forget the poetry

Here is a poem by a famous poet you might like to read to your kids. Poetry soothes the soul and stretches your imagination. Try to find rhyming words and sentences just for the pure joy of it. Have at least one classic poetry book in your collection to read aloud to each other.

Autumn Fires

by Robert Louis Stevenson

In the other gardens
And all up the vale,
From the autumn bonfires
See the smoke trail!

Pleasant summer over
And all the summer flowers,
The red fire blazes,
The grey smoke towers.

Sing a song of seasons!
Something bright in all!
Flowers in the summer,
Fires in the fall!

Read on!
