A rhyming unwrapping of our book today...

Night Horses

Early morning
Start of day
Horses gather
Eat their hay.

Off they gallop
Work with power
Toil all day
Then back for shower.

Sun descends
Dinner calls...
Served with smiles
Inside their stalls.

Humans tired
Home...days done
Horses perk up...
Time for fun!

Cards come out
They braid their manes
Paint their hooves
Now that's insane!

Funny joke time
Midnight snacks,
Dance to music,
Back to back.

Alas, they're tired
Parties done,
Time for sleep
Night, everyone!

Tomorrow's close
The sun peeks through..
Up they get
So much to do!

Anaka Jones, was born and raised in Ann Arbor Michigan.  She lives with her parents and has two older brothers, a frog, a lizard and two dogs. She is 12 years old. This is her first book, self-published and available both in print and in digital form.  The illustrations are colourful, witty, fun and I loved them.  I recommend this book to kids of all ages, (grown-up kids included!)
