Dreams Are Made for Children

“If you are a dreamer come in
If you are a dreamer a wisher a liar
A hoper a pray-er a magic-bean-buyer
If youre a pretender come sit by my fire
For we have some flax golden tales to spin
Come in!
Come in!”

- Shel Silverstein

"Dreams are Made for Children"

Classic Jazz Lullabies by Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday...

Book + CD

Ages: 0-3

Unwrapping some illustrations for you...

My review...

"Get jazzed little one.... with these assuasive lullabies you will snuggle down for a blissful, sweet, night's sleep!"   Now it is very easy for your child to drift off as she listens to this soothing CD of jazz classics.

It features twelve popular standards from the golden age of jazz recorded by such legends as: Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole, Sarah Vaughan and Chet Baker, just to name a few.  The music was selected by Misja Fitzgerald Michel, a Paris-based jazz musician, and noted children's illustrator llya Green created the colourful pages in the 36-page hardcover book.   The book includes the lyrics and brief explanatory notes with whimsical, dream-like illustrations that accompany each featured song.

I loved the whole vibe of the package...the book dove-tailing perfectly and enhancing the lyrics of the songs.  The colour pallet is strong and beautifully executed.  It is always wonderful to connect our modern-day children with the best voices and music of yesteryear.  The songs you sew into your little ones now will last them a lifetime.  I highly recommend this storybook with CD, it is very classy indeed.
