About the book...

Thank you NetGalley for a complimentary copy of "Bedtime for Batman" for me to review.

This book is amazing.  What little boy or girl does not adore a superhero like Batman?  This boy is especially obsessed with him.  He is immersed in the world of Batman displaying his posters, toys and even wearing Batman attire to bed.

He and Batman live in a parallel universe.  The little boy and his hero go about doing similar things.  They both are on a mission, Batman off on a rescue mission and the mini super-hero on a mission to bed.  His dad points to the clock indicating bedtime and Batman focuses on the bat signal in the night sky.  The little boy dons his pj's and Batman zooms off and dons his costume.  Batman ascends the fire escape overlooking Gotham and the boy ascends the ladder to his bunkbed overlooking his bedroom - both stopping  to survey their surroundings.

This book is a perfect bedtime story and cuddling up to read it is mandatory.  The contented look on the little guy's face as he drifts off to sleep tells the reader that sweet dreams (of his superhero) are his to enjoy.

The illustrations are perfect.  They are crisp, expressive and true to the Batman genre.  All kids will be delighted with the book I can assure you.
