"Queen Quail is Quiet" - a bookwrap

Unwrapping

"Queen Quail is Quiet"
and other ABC Tongue Twisters

Created by Erika Barriga

Unwrapping some fun and funky illustrations for you to enjoy

About the book

This fun alphabet book will have kids repeating words that roll around their tongues and spin out of their mouths making them giggle and laugh.  They are able to learn letters of the alphabet using alliterations to do so.  What a great concept to get kids engaged in language and wordplay.

The letters of the alphabet are big and clear making them very easy to see and understand.  The illustrations are simple, silly and very imaginative.  The colour pallet chosen is warm and happy inviting the reader to engage in repeating the tongue-twisters which will evoke great laughs I'm sure.  They are a perfect marriage to the text.

The book is entertaining as well as educational.  Storywraps recommends it for early years learners.

About the author/illustrator

I am an author, illustrator, painter and lover of all things whimsy.  My first children's book, Queen Quail is Quiet, was published in in 2013.  My work has a place in children's books, home decor for girl boss office spaces and chic baby nurseries.  I work mainly in watercolor and pencil.
Even though most of my time is spent drawing and painting, I also love thrifting and decorating the house which is a constant work in progress.  I hate cheese on it's own and get weak in the knees for ice cream. I currently live in Denver, CO with my husband Raul and our two princesses, Addy and Zoe.
