The Book

This sweet rhyming book is a fun way to learn to count to 10.  An adorable little mermaid named Umi explores her underwater world and on her journey she counts various under-the-sea items such as octopuses, crabs, seahorses, pearls in shells and starfish just to name a few.  Lost in the amazement of her surroundings she realizes it's growing dark and time to swim home because her Mom will want her back safe and sound.

The whimsical, dreamy colour pallet is perfect for the theme.  Kids love rhyming books and they particularly will love the delightful ending. "The Mermaid Counting Book" encourages reading together with a focus on language development.  I highly recommend it.

I also have added a new button... ko-fi.com/storywraps  Simply buy me a cup of coffee if you would rather.  That would be fun.  Coffee and blogging go together like two peas in a pod as I'm always brewing up something here on Storywraps.
