An adorable little mouse speaks their first word, and their second, then the squeaks flow non-stop making every one around fatigued from the incessent chatter! 

Baby mouse doesn't care who listens.  Everyone gets inundated with non-ending squeaks.  Mama needs a break and removes herself from her little one only to discover that after a short time things are very quiet... too quiet...oh, oh... where could her sweet pup be? 

Mama listens intently and finally locates the little escapee by the familiar squeaks that she can hear in the distance.  The baby mouse is adorable and kids will relate the love and care of a mama that loves her darling baby dearly and unconditionally... millions of squeaks and all!  The illustrations are tender and soft, full of humour and fun!  I highly recommend this book.

Meet the Author/ Illustrator

ANNE HUNTER is a Geisel Honor–awarded illustrator and picture book writer best known for her books about animals and nature. Anne grew up in Lake Worth, Florida, and now makes her home with the foxes and the owls and the skunks and her family in the woods of Southern Vermont.
