The Book

Maddie and Mable are two sweet but spirited little sisters whose heartfelt relationship is sprinkled with humour.  Maddie is the eldest of the two and seems to make the majority of the decisions and takes charge constantly which irks little Mable to no end.  When is her turn to decide what they will do?  Mable, on the other hand, is like a Chatty Cathy doll and never ever stops asking questions. How annoying is that? Ahhhhh, the rub in the tale however is who exactly is in charge and will dictate what goes on... Maddie or Mable?

Readers will discover the important life lesson that being the boss may not be as important as working together in harmony and loving each other always as only sisters can do.

This is Volume 1 in the series.  It is an early chapter book that kids can relate to if they have siblings.  The illustrations are soft, expressive and beautiful.  They so enrich the narrative of the story.  "Maddie and Mable" is a celebration of sisterhood and the friendship between the two.  I highly recommend this book and look forward to more books in this series.

About the Illustrator

Tatjana Mai-Wyss has always loved books, so bringing stories to life with her art is the best job she can imagine. She has been lucky enough to illustrate a number of books for children.
