The Book

This is such a sweet book starring TikTok and viral video star Grey (@greyandmama, 6M followers).  He uses his manners, displays gratitude and eats his vegetables all the time celebrating his joy of sharing meals with his family.  

This delightful book encourages little ones to explore new healthy foods and find the ones that they love to eat.  It honours the bond between a child and his parent and models respect, manners and thankfulness.  The book builds vocabulary and pre-reading skills for a child.  This debut book's message is enriched with colourful, relatable illustrations and gives a shout out to food lovers and family as they gather together for wonderful, healthy meals around their kitchen table.  

"Thank You, Mama" is a perfect book to give for a gift at a baby shower, birthdays, holiday giving, or to any one who might be apprehensive to try new foods.  It's my pleasure to endorse such a positive and important message to youngsters at a time when correct etiquette needs a boost.  I highly recommend this book and look forward to a series.

Meet the Author

Linda Meeker of @greyandmama stumbled upon social media popularity as she shared sweet videos of her son Grey learning to say "thank you." Expressing gratitude was a value instilled in Linda as a child raised in a Vietnamese family, so she was delighted that the simple act of her toddler saying "thank you" received such a reaction on TikTok and Instagram. Linda, her husband, and Grey live in Seattle, Washington.

About the Illustrator

Sandra Eide creates soft and sweet illustrations with an emphasis on characters and connections. As a child, Sandra either had her head in a book or was crafting and doodling her own stories. She is endlessly inspired by animals, nature, and friendships. Sandra lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband and border collie.
