The Book

This sweet heartwarming story empowers kids to be the best that they can be.  It inspires them to know they are in control of their thoughts and feelings and can use those special powers for good!

The book encourages good behaviour and affirms that kids are strong and mighty and can be an amazing positive force in the world.  What child doesn't want to be a superhero?

Using kindness and helpfulness as awesome affirmative weapons kids will grow in stature and grace.  The kid-friendly illustrations and the flowing fun rhyming will have kids coming back again and again to ingest and enjoy the story.

The author has added Connection Questions at the back of the book so parents and teachers can dialogue about the practicality and wisdom the book has to offer.

"Teaching your child to become more self-aware and share their love with others not only builds their confidence but also strengthens all five core skills for Social Emotional Learning. SEL core competencies:

  • Self Management
  • Responsible Decision Making
  • Social Awareness
  • Self Awareness
  • Relationship Building"

I love the book and highly recommend it!

Meet the Author

S. Alston is a wife and mother of 3 young adults who has always loved children's poetry. "I always enjoyed reading rhyming books to my three children when they were little. My favorite books were the ones that had valuable lessons in the story. As my children have grown, I've noticed that so many teens and young adults put so much pressure on themselves to be perfect and never fail. They are their own worst critics and continually judge themselves against others. In all my books, it is my intention to give parents the words and stories to help young children build up their own self-awareness and self-esteem. I want them to know how amazing they are, and that through their own thoughts and imagination, they can choose to create a wonderful life for themselves.
