The Book

This is a sweet story about friendship, entrepreneurship, and compromise.  Horse and Zebra are BFFs and decide to start their own business.  Their personalities are very different but they figure out a way to make their business work.  Horse makes delicious oatcakes and Zerba takes them to market on a cake wagon to sell.  

At first their business booms but soon their friends get tired and bored of just one flavour and the sales drop.  With creativity and imagination the two compromise and come up with a winning plan and they are off to races.  

The extras at the end of the book are fun and engaging: discussion questions and a baking activity which is a nice add-on.  Kids will learn the importance of working together despite other's differences.  It is an important life lesson to learn early on.  

The fun black and white illustrations marry perfectly with the simple understandable text.  I love the book and highly recommend it.
