Computers, video games, movies with captions all take reading ability. When you get discouraged with your child's technology activities remember that they read there too. Keep suggesting books to read, let them see you reading, share what you are reading and don't ever, ever give up on them. Celebrate life with a good story, either by text or orally. Keep the reading momentum going.
