Perfect day to curl up and read.

Go to your bookshelves and pick at least three to four books that you love and commit to read those books to your kids today. Such a dull day calls for reading aloud to each other. Cuddle, snuggle, hug your way through a good book together. Then discuss why you liked the story, what you learned from it or draw from your own life experience to share. Books are social and kids love the undivided attention from someone they love. If you are too busy throw an old table cloth or blanket over a table, toss in some comfy pillows, a flashlight and let the kids crawl in a stack of books to read by flashlight. Add a plate of cookies or crackers and cheese and a juice box and you have instant fun. Jazz today up with lots and lots of good books!
