New Book Review this week.....

I loved the whole concept of this book. In this day and age when everyone knows about bullying and enemies this is the perfect book to pick up and read with your child. I especially love the fact that "dad" carried out this act of love.

About the book:

It was the perfect summer. That is, until Jeremy Ross moved into the house down the street and became Enemy Number One. Luckily, Dad has a surefire way to get rid of enemies-Enemy Pie. But one of the secret ingredients is spending an entire day with the enemy!

In this funny yet endearing story, one little boy learns an effective recipe for turning a best enemy into a best friend. With charming illustrations that bring to life the difficulties and ultimate rewards of making new friends, Enemy Pie serves up a sweet lesson in friendship.

Not only is this s perfect book for home reading but teachers should also take note and highlight this book in their classrooms. It sparks heart-felt discussions and love-filled solutions to combat that enemy that is lurking in the neighbourhood or perhaps directly in your child's life. Highly recommended. Read on.
