What did I read today? go through your day aware of how many times your eyes make contact with words and how many times your mind processed their meaning...busy brain...expanding knowledge. Have a word awareness day with your kids. Did they read any signs in their world? What about a newspaper headline? A magazine? A storybook during the day? At bedtime? A menu in a restaurant?
