Steam Train Dream Train Book Review

Quote of the day:

"Steam Train Dream Train" authored by Sherri Duskey Rinker and illustrated by Tom Lichtenheld.

This excellent book is recommended for kids ages 3-5.  She is also the author of the standout book called, "Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site".

This rhyming book is the perfect bedtime story.
The night colours, the soft lighting, the glowing lamplights,  the spattered stars in the night sky,  create the perfect book to get your sleepy child into a go-to-bed mood.

This dream train pulls into the station and one by one the train cars are loaded:  polar bears pack reefer cars with ice cream, elephants fill tanker cars with paints, tortoises stock the auto rack with race cars, bouncy kangaroos stuff hopper cars with balls.  The rhyming words span across the pages weaving through the rich illustrations teaching your child the names of all the train cars and a sense of wonder regarding our amazing language.  This book is a winner and highly recommended.

Book review rating:  9  (close to perfection!)

Read on and read always.  Have a great day.
