If the shoe fits....wear it! Book review today

" A book is a gift you can open again and again."
                                           - Garrison Keillor

Title:  Mizz Goodie 2 Shoez
Author:  Charoletta Anderson
Illustrator:  Leslie Pinto

The author explores the incredible world she has created that is inhabited by ....  shoes. The shoe citizens come in every size, style, shape and colour and the good news is they all have value and are respected for their diversity in this make-believe world where shoes rule.  Miss Anderson has personified the cute footwear and has even taken on the problem of bullying.  In this world there is no judging or discrimination and everyone is accepted for exactly who they are and what they were created for.

The illustrations are expressive and  really adorable.  The colour pallet is vibrant, funky and just plain fun!  In this shoe community uniqueness is celebrated and the author uses some unique shoe vocabulary to make the shoes come alive with their very own personality.

The book is savvy, sassy and street smart and the characters share a message of value, hope, courage, self-esteem and the importance of honour.

If you are a shoe lover then this book is for you.  If this shoe-book fits...then buy it.

About the author:

To be an author one must allow herself to think outside the box.  I have opened my world and allowed Miss Goodie 2 Shoes to be born.

A lady with such shoe style, shoe class, and shoe fashion I am.  Life is about being different and having your own identity.  When she walks in a room she demands shoe attention and respect. I am a children's author from Houston Texas. I have two daughters:  Darina De'Che Flanagan and Kayla Brianna Flanagan.  I indeed love them and to them I am her...."Miss Goodie 2 Shoez."

Book Review Rating:   7  (Couldn't put it down!)

Read on and read always!
