Quote of the Day: "Rereading, we find a new book." -Mason Cooley
Title: A Home for Humphrey
Author/Illustrator: Nikko Barber
This book has the most beautiful and detailed illustrations ever. Every page contains interesting animal characters and their habitats. Humphrey, a cub bear, is now big enough this winter to sleep in a cave all by himself. His family and fellow bears curl up for the winter leaving one empty cave which belongs to? ... you know who. Humphrey gets cold feet, can't face the thought of sleeping alone and decides to go off on his by himself and find his own space to bed down for the winter. He looks high and low, in and out, but nothing suits him. Sadly he returns to his cave and cautiously enters inside. What he finds there surprises him and the big discovery is that he is not alone at all. You will smile as this little guy finds sleeping buddies and realizes that this cave, his cave now, is just the perfect place to spend the long, cold winter along with his new found friends. It is a wonderful book with splendid art that will having you come back again and again to discover more that the book has to offer each time you do a reread.
