Title: Bristol's Big Wish

Bristol is a little girl in grade two who feels lonely because she has very few friends. Her best friend is her doll Mallory but unfortunately Mallory is banned from going to school with Bristol because of the Principal's rule, "No Dolls Allowed!" One night when Bristol is looking out her window she makes a wish on a shooting star. She wishes that Mallory can become "real" and become her "real " best friend. The next morning she finds her wish has come true and the two soon bond and become inseparable. Bristol takes Mallory to school with her now and finds out she is smart, popular with the kids, and very good at math. Bristol's Mom accepts Mallory into her home and is so happy that her daughter has a good friend to keep her company and to keep her happy. After the summer in which the girls play and swim and hang out constantly, Mallory discovers she needs a more permanent home. Bristol, her imaginative and clever self, goes back to her shooting star and makes one incredible wish on behalf of her beloved friend. I won't spoil the story for you but let me say it has a very, very happy ending for all the characters involved. I know you will love this story and your child will be looking and waiting at her window for a shooting star to fall across the sky. Be careful.....wishes can come true.
A note from the author/illustrator:
I wrote the original version of Bristol's Big Wish when I was fourteen. It was the first story I ever completed. I was very proud of it, and I spent many nights dreaming about it becoming a reality. Today, the dream is a reality. So, I'd like to say to all my readers, this book is for you. Don't stop dreaming. One day your wish may come true.
