About the book...

This special tender book is a love letter sent from a mama's heart to the little one that she is mothering.  It is a repetitive song expressing to her beloved that "you are very special to me."  It is a resounding message that ensures, saying: "I will comfort you, hold on tightly to you keeping you safe and protected, and I will be there for you... always."

Hugs are universal and wordlessly express messages like, "thank you", "hello and goodbye," "forgive me I'm sorry", and "I'm here for you to guide you and keep your safe," just to name a few.  Hugs wrap you in a physical heart-to-heart blanket and assure you that you are truly loved.

The illustrations are so vibrant and touching.  The adorable animal characters bond together through the lovely gift of touch that each of us has been given. This is a flip -sided book meaning you turn it upside down and keep on reading.  It is a never-ending love story and just like the circle of love ...  it never ends.  And the best part by far?  This book cannot be read together without experiencing a hug or two between the reader and listener! I highly, highly recommend this book.

About the illustrator...

I'm an illustrator and an author of children's books.
From the time I was a little kid, I’ve wanted to write and illustrate children’s books. I used to staple paper together and make tiny books for my dolls.

When I was in 5th grade, my wonderful teacher laminated and bound our stories and illustrations together into books. It is called The Dog Around the Corner, and is about a dog named Claude and his adventures in his neighborhood

I've since illustrated many picture books, one of which I’ve written, Soup Day.

If I had written my life story as a little girl, it would be pretty close to the one I am living. I get to do what I have always dreamed of doing.
