About the book...

"Today Mommy and I
Have lots to do,
Like counting, colouring,
And painting too..."

This fabulous little book, written in rhyme, is perfect for the modern day family.  A busy, inquisitive toddler has a very busy day and it is all documented by mom's smartphone.  He poses, smiles, and plays to her camera while she clicks, clicks clicks.

He loves her phone as he sees all the fun and smiles it generates so when mom finally sets it down...guess who picks it up?  The little curious tyke ...

"When no one is looking,
I find Mommy's phone.
It's not mine; I should
Leave it alone."

Let the photo shoot begin.  He holds it to his ear and shouts, "HELLO! HELLO!" then scampers off, hides in his big red chair and starts snapping selfies.  Click. Click. Click. Will mom capture the little guy who is capturing self - portraits of the one and only....  him? What will happen when she finally discovers what he has been up to with her precious phone that he thinks is a toy?

Him full of remorse, and her full of forgiveness ... they cuddle together and browse through the phone pictures reminiscing of days gone by and all the things that have been documented in his life so far. All these treasured milestones and memories are lovingly cherished by his Mommy. Afterwards they reinforce their love bond by...

"A hug for Mommy,
Then we are on our way."

Down goes the phone and they are off to play together creating memories not behind a lens but memories that they are developing in their hearts.

I love the adorable little dog that is on every page who shares the little boy's day.  His expressions are priceless and mirror those that his tiny friend is experiencing.  I love the message that the book sends to everyone - technology is a wonderful invention but please remember to balance it off by real face - time,  sprinkled with lots and lots of hugs and snuggles.  This would be a perfect gift to give to a new mom.  This is the author's second book.  The first book is:

Both books, in my opinion, are winners and are worthy of 5 Storywraps hugs!
