Under the Moon: Jazz Standards and Lullabies
Ages: 0-3

Available in November at stores across North America...

This amazing storybook with music CD is the second title from its new collection of jazz-infused music for the whole family.  It features thirteen timeless songs evoking the seasons recorded by singing legends Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Nina Simone and Fats Waller, just to name a few.   The music was selected by Misja Fitzgerald Michel, a Paris-based jazz musician, and noted children's illustrator llya Green created the beautiful, colourful images in the 36-page hardcover book. Both the book and stunning illustrations are destined to become classics.  Lyrics and brief explanatory notes with whimsical, dream-like illustrations accompany each featured song. This feature is very educational. It's wonderful to know the backstory that inspired these artists and songs from yesteryear .
