Unwrapping some illustrations for you

At school, he loved music and dance classes. He had a real talent for singing and his dance moves were from another planet.

He jumped from band to band looking for a chance, dreaming that – one day – all the lonely kids on Planet Earth would sing his songs out loud.

For more than 40 years, he kept exploring new galaxies.

My Take

Book 30, of this phenomenal series is one to add to your collection.  David Bowie's character and talent is portrayed so that a new generation can begin to understand his greatness and his exceptional contributions to the music world.

Comfortable in his own skin, and secure in his musical abilities, David had creative, innovative, and sometimes outlandish ideas that he expressed through his songs, dance moves and fashion style.  His ability to keep re-inventing himself kept him in the forefront for 40 years.

"David Bowie" encourages and inspires kids to celebrate exactly  who they are.  His desire even as a young boy was to be a star and "that one day all the lonely kids on the Planet would sing his songs out loud. He also knew that a great singer needed to be a great performer, too. "

" He inspired generations of fans to find their own voice and dare to be different."

The illustrations are quirky and the author has added extra facts at the back of the book including a biographical timeline of David's life including historical photos.  I highly recommend this book and the entire series.
