About the book...

Kids will delight in this charming book with two very adorable little characters, Lily and Milo.  They go about their daily activities incorporating colours into everything that they decide to do.

The cute duo head out to play and need to wear their red boots because it's raining. After splashing in the puddles they end up in their sandbox to dig a big hole and they must choose only the green shovels to get the job done.  Next a huge bouquet of multi-coloured balloons magically appear and together they decide yellow is their most favourite. Calling it a day they retrieve their blue cart to take them home from the park.

It's been a very busy time for them and they are tired and thirsty.... oh oh!!  They pick orange juice to quench their thirst. Great choice!  Wanting to calm down and relax now they decide to draw a picture. They both get a big piece of white paper and use all the colours of felt-tip pens in the box to make a masterpiece.... well Lily did on her paper anyway.  Find out what Milo decides to use as his canvas.  It will make everyone giggle for sure.

 The very best part of the whole book is that the cute two ask you, the reader, to help them choose the proper colours that they are searching for.  This clever, interactive book will have your child learning colours in no time flat and have a great time doing it.  I highly, highly recommend this book.

Storywraps rating... 5+++ HUGS!

About the author/illustrator...

Pauline Oud was born in 1963 in Hilversum, The Netherlands.

She has been working as an illustrator for over 15 years now. After her graduation from art school in 1985 she worked as an artist and art teacher for a while before applying her knowledge to her first love; children’s books.

Before she starts working, she likes to start her days with an hour running to clear her head and think about her drawings. She likes to collect children’s books, because they give her so much inspiration. When she is out of inspiration, she also likes to visit the Museum of medieval Art to stare at the books her colleagues have illustrated some 700 years ago.

She currently lives in Bilthoven (the Netherlands) with her husband and her two children Roos and Walt.
