The Real Homes

About the book

Anyone can buy a house but it takes love and care shared by the people and pets living inside to make it a real home.  A home is a place for shelter from the elements, for resting peacefully, for playing and working hard, and a place for family members to share their love and happiness with each other each and every day.

Houses all over the world take on different shapes and sizes but it's the inhabitants within those houses that bring that special spirit of love and fulfillment into the shell of the structure to give it a soul that is unique to their own specific family.

The author and illustrator skillfully document houses in Thailand, Mongolia, Togo, Russia and Greenland making the book very educational and interactive to the wee young readers.  Kid-friendly illustrations with interesting explanations of how that household thrives and survives make this book one that kids will come back to time and time again to learn more details about that particular  home.  This book would be a great asset in a classroom or elementary school library setting as well.

The author skillfully wraps up the book by saying...

"There are houses wherever people live.
Even though houses have different
appearances in every country, each one is
someone's precious home."

I highly recommend this book and gave it...
