"Goodnight, Seahorse" - a bookwrap

This delightful book's setting is that beautiful time of the evening when things begin shutting down, peace and stillness reign, and you know it's time to say good night to the world around you.  This is the perfect book to get the message across that... now is the hour... good night!!!!

About the book

This sweet book is very reminiscent of the bestseller Good Night Moon by Margaret Wise Brown.  An adorable little seahorse makes his way back to his home to finally wrap up his day and get some rest in his bed.   He swims in the vast ocean under the waves and along the way he encounters an octopus, a starfish, a wobbegong, a lion fish, and a squid.  He sleepily wishes them goodnight as he passes by. Finally he parks himself in his cozy spot in the coral and is gone......

This charming book is the perfect introduction to creatures of the sea for wee ones.  I love the rich deep colour pallet backdrop that accentuates the glowing golden little seahorse as he wearily journeys to his destination.  The illustrations are whimsical and dreamlike making this book a perfect bedtime story.

"Goodnight, Seahorse" is in board book format and includes a chart of different interesting animals that are found in the coral reef at the end of the story.  I highly recommend this book.
