The Book

A young girl is lucky enough to spend every Sunday with her grandparents in Nana's garden.

"Nana's garden is a special place,
just for Nana, Papa, and me."

Her magical garden world unfolds and she finds herself picking juicy red tomatoes right off the vine,  observing colourful butterflies as they flit here and there amongst Nana's flowers, kidnapping bugs and placing them carefully in a rainbow of glass jars, and picking white daisies to give to her mother because they are her mother's favourite flower, just to name a few.

This delightful book will expand vocabularies, help with colour recognition and teach counting up to the number 5.  She and her Nana have a very close special relationship (as does Papa) and they end the day painting rocks and snuggling together under the willow tree.  The ending of a perfect day!

"In Nana's garden,
we run under the willow tree.

Each brown branch gets
longer every year
just like me!"

The illustrations are beautifully detailed and portrayed in bright, vibrant colours.  Young ones can relate to this gardening adventure making the book not only educational but great fun as well. l highly recommend it.
