The Book

Bodhi is one lucky girl.  She is on a plane with her mother and they are soaring off to Bangkok, Thailand.  She invites you to travel along with her as she explores, discovers, and appreciates a new country and its vibrant culture.

" The city is a symphony of noises with horns beeping, engines roaring, and people speaking Thai."

One of the sites she and her mom visit is the beautiful golden temple where she sits very still and calms her mind from all the surrounding  hustle and bustle.  Bodhi reflects on her amazing adventure and comes to the conclusion that Thailand is much the same as her own homeland.  She is surrounded with beautiful trees and greenery, kids that love to run and play games just like her, and that everyone's happy smile translates into friendly people who are welcoming her to their country.  Bodhi feels very much at home now and senses that this too is where she belongs.

The book lists facts and information regarding the important landmarks and places that Bodhi and her mother visit, including the Emerald Buddha, the Grand Palace, the Chao Phraya River, and the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market.  Also included is an educational and fun page of greetings and phrases in Thai to learn.  I love the book and highly recommend it.
