The Book

A loud piercing noise is ringing out across the land levelling mountains, blowing stripes off of tigers, and shocking people all over the world!  Oh my!  Everyone is stunned and they want to know its source.  What is happening?

This delightful book starts off by the reader not knowing exactly where the plot is taking them and then a theme appears that flows throughout the book and the story starts to make more sense.

This award-winning book was originally published in Portuguese and is now translated into English. Through the process of elimination the true origin of the unfamiliar sound will be a surprise and create a giggle when the reader finally discovers just what is causing that earsplitting annoying noise.

The illustrations are colourful, bold and detailed. I felt though that they  were a bit overwhelming. Having said that, it's a funny tale that I'm sure kids can relate to and will enjoy.  "Aaahhh!" invites curious kids into the story to help solve the mystery of what's really going on.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.
